We designed and synthesized novel conjugated polymer with aromatic 1,3,5-oxadiazole and 4-hydroxypiridine groups. 1,3,5-Oxadiazole units are used the electron transport materials in PLEDs (polymer light emitting diodes) and 4-hydroxyprirdine units are attractive for the point of view of generation of novel magnetic and optoelectronic materials via the formation of the metal ion complexes. We synthesized hydrazide precursor polymer through condensation polymerization followed by 1,3,5-oxadiazoles ring formation. We compared hydrazide precursor and 1,3,5-oxadiazole polymer at solid and solution states by NMR, IR, TGA, UV/Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy.
