제목 Heat-triggered facile and damage-free separation of transparent adhesive films from substrates using pyrolytic core-shell nanocapsules
초록 The spontaneous and damage-free separation of polymer thin films from substrates is an innovative technology in a broad range of applications from electronic devices to optical films that will enable material recycling and reduce manufacturing costs. Herein, we present a facile and damage-free separation methodology for optically clear adhesive thin films on the basis of the heat-triggered microbubble generation from pyrolytic core-shell nanocapsules between the substrate and the acrylic film. A new type of pyrolytic nanocapsules was successfully prepared by encapsulating a latent gas-forming agent of benzenesulfonyl hydrazine in the crosslinked nanoparticle comprising polyacrylonitrile and poly(methyl methacrylate). The heat-triggered decomposition of nanocapsules generated microbubbles inside the film, thereby inducing instantaneous and effortless detachment of the transparent film from the substrates. The resulting adhesive films embedded with pyrolytic nanocapsules were confirmed to have excellent debonding performance with a maximum efficiency of 93.4% after short thermal treatment while maintaining the inherent optical and adhesive properties of the pristine film.
