Cross-linked Thermoplastic Polyurethane Electrospun Nanoweb with Improved Piezocapacitive Properties |
초록 |
Thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU) composed of hard and soft segments exhibit superior resilience in comparison to other elastomeric polymers. However, TPU has some disadvantages of showing large capacitance-pressure hysteresis and low thermal resistance, which necessitate the increase of elastic recovery and Vicat softening temperature for capacitive sensor applications. We have now focused on improving the performance of electrospun TPU sensor through the crosslinking of TPU using a thermally reversible tolylene diisocyanate (TDI) adduct. We synthesized TDI-ε-caprolactam and TDI-phenol adducts, and mixed them as a cross-linking agent in TPU electrospinning solution. Thermal annealing of electrospun nanoweb was performed at 150 oC for 10~20 min for cross-linking of the intermolecular PU chains. Hysteresis, creep, and relaxation behavior of fabricated crosslinked TPU sensors were investigated and compared with non-crosslinked ones. This work was supported by MOTIE (Grant No.10047976). |
