Mechanically robust and highly stretchable all-polymer transistors for electronic skin applications |
초록 |
Mechanically robustness and highly stretchability in organic materials and devices offers new opportunities for the human-adaptive, soft manufacturing technologies. The selection of effective form factor as well as structure one (i.e. functional materials) is an art of balance, as they affect mechanical durability in the devices and hence electrical stability under the applied stress. In this talk, we present mechanically robust and highly stretchable all-polymer transistors with a top-gated geometry for the application to electronic skin. We found that optimized wavy structures and interfacial characteristics of channel and electrode composed of conjugated polymers onto the rubber substrates have a huge effect on elastic moduli of each components, device performance (field-effect mobility ~ 1 cm2V-1s-1), and electrical durability under a strain(ε) of 80%. We believe that this approach can efficiently lead to the development of highly sensitive and stretchable electronic skins. |
