Antibody has been extensively investigated and developed as new drugs for many diseases, however in-depth biological and structural analyses should be needed for developing antibody drugs compared to small molecule drugs. Therefore, wide investigation of antibody with mass spectrometry (MS) has gained attention for the needs due to its sensitivity. From intact mass determination to glycan profiling, the detailed strategies for antibody characterization is presented. Along with separation techniques, mass spectrometry can provide detailed characterizations which are needed due to inherent complexity and safety reason of antibody.
