An innovative filter technology has been developed for the manufacture of polypropylene meltblown cartridge filter for liquid depth filtration applications. According to GE Osmonics, USA, its proprietary technology could reduce the number of spent filters generated by end users by half. In the following article we take a look at this technology and its use in the pre-treatment of RO systems and in the protection of oil wells.
