Hydrodynamics of spouting in the apparatus with a draft tube
The measurements carried out in apparatus containing two conical sections and one cylindrical part are presented. Inside the lower conical section a bed and a draft tube were placed. In the course of measurements, spouting characteristics and curves of bed expansion for various draft tubes and particles were determined. The respective dependencies of pressure drops, overall bed voidage as well as some particular quantities as the minimum spouting velocity, pressure drop during stable spouting and minimum circulation velocity were analyzed. Experimental data were further used to develop new correlations.
