The dynamics of a tubular chemical reactor with recycle is analysed. The results obtained demonstrate the presence of periodic, quasi-periodic and chaotic transients of temperature and concentration. Different modes associated with the generation of chaos in the reactor, e.g., period doubling and intermittency, are shown to exist.
