Modelling of n-butanol recovery from air in adsorber with close cycle adsorbent regeneration
The adsorption process for the recovery of n-butanol from the air is studied theoretically. The desorption and cooling steps are effected by a circulated inert gas. An equilibrium model was used to simulate composition and temperature breakthrough curves for adsorption, desorption and cooling steps. The effect of heater and condenser temperatures on useful capacity of the bed has been studied.
