The method of synthesis of the optimal process of fractional crystallization from multicomponent solutions fed with several streams is proposed. The method employs a search strategy in an appropriately defined space of problem states. The search algorithm has been applied to the synthesis of the process fed with three streams - water solutions of sodium sulphate and sulphuric acid from which anhydrous sodium sulphate is separated with maximum yield.
