Design and analysis of size-mass reduction experiments for sampling particulate material
Gy expounded the theory of fundamental error and indicated that it could be employed in setting-up design parameters for conducting sampling experiments with particulate material. Gy's formulation is, however, not easy to follow. In this paper, Gy's theory is modified for application to a practical problem of designing a sampling experiment using preproduction data generated prior to regular plant operations in the production of refractory magnesia.
