The paper gives a very condensed overview on the manifold activities in the German-Saudi bilateral RD&D program HYSOLAR. Concentrating on Phase II of the program - which ended in 1995 - recent results in the fields of solar hydrogen production, hydrogen utilization, fundamental research, system studies and concentrating photovoltaics are shortly reviewed.
