Effect of Variable Viscosity on Free Convective Heat Transfer over a Non-isothermal Body of Arbitrary Shape in a Non-Newtonian Fluid Saturated Porous Medium with Internal Heat Generation
Similarity solutions are proposed for the analysis of free convection flow over a non-isothermal body of arbitrary shape embedded in porous media in the presence of internal heat generation. The porous medium is saturated with non-Newtonian power law fluid. The effect of temperature dependent viscosity on heat transfer rates is investigated. The linearized version of the Arrhenius law for temperature dependent viscosity is considered and it is shown that the heat transferred is more for a less viscous fluid.
