A spectral method coupled with a multi-domain technique is used to model a diffusive interface in double-diffusive convection. The isothermal model involves two horizontal Boussinesq fluid layers with a uniform sugar and salt concentration which are separated with a thin interface. A reasonable agreement has been found by comparing the numerical results with the experimental and theoretical ones.
