Adaptation of an Adiabatic Calorimeter to Liquids
The conception of an adiabatic calorimeter is the result of a detailed thermokinetical study. The solutions of the equation of heat lends to fix some characteristics of the apparatus. In the case of viscous solutions, for which the heat transfer is pseudo-conductive, it is shown that specific heat and thermal diffusivity can be evaluated in the same sequence of measurement. For viscous solutions the precision of specific heat is lower than 2%. Check measurement with water and glycerol are detailed in this paper.
