Nonminimal Factorization of Nonlinear-Systems - The Observable Case
Minimal factorizations of nonlinear systems have been studied earlier. Here, nonminimal factorizations of nonlinear systems are studied for the case where the product contains no extra non-observable states (’observable factorizations’). A description for all such factorizations is given in terms of invariant foliations of the system and its inverse. The results are applied to the special cases of stable factorizations (coprime).
