Statistical Methods for Analyzing Color Difference Distributions
Multivalued measurands, such as spectral reflectance and tristimulus values, are usually analyzed by reducing the data to a single-valued parameter, such as color difference. The variations in sets of color differences are nonnormal distributed. This article compares five statistical methods to determine the 95% tolerance limit on nine data sets of color differences.
