Correlation of EPR Parameters with Electronic-Structure in the Homologous Series of Low-Symmetry Complexes Tp-Asterisk-Moox(2) (Tp-Asterisk Equals Hydrotris(3,5-Dimethylpyrazol-1-Yl)Borate - X=f,Cl,Br)
Oriented single crystal EPR spectroscopy of Tp*MoOX(2) doped into diamagnetic host lattices reveals that the non-coincidence angle, alpha, between g(1) and A(1)(Mo) varies from 17 degrees for X = F to 57 degrees for X = Br. The change in alpha is almost entirely due to changes in the orientation of g with respect to the molecular coordinate system.
