Biocompatible Composite Actuator: A Supramolecular Structure Consisting of the Biopolymer Chitosan, Carbon Nanotubes, and an Ionic Liquid
A composite actuator constructed from a carbon nanotube/biopolymer supramolecular structure (see figure) that can be driven by electrical stimulation independently without solution environment support is presented. It is lightweight, constructed from biocompatible components, and exhibits considerable actuation performance at low voltage, making it of great value for biomedical applications.
