The reported CMOS microsystem with digital output is a key element for accurate magnetic measurements. The integrated system includes a magnetic microsensor - double-collector lateral bipolar magnetotransistor and signal conditioning CMOS circuitry. The imbalance in collector currents is compensated by the change of resistance of collector load in the control circuit of an "aleph-ladder". The chip is fabricated in a generic 2-mu m CMOS process and covers an area of 2.6 x 3.2 mm(2). (C) 2010 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
