Pyramidal Tellurite Ions Te(N(T)Bu)(2)(E(T)Bu)(-)(E=0,NH) - Syntheses and Structures of (K(THF)Te(N(T)Bu)(2)(O(T)Bu))(2) and ((LITE(N(T)Bu)(2)(NH(T)Bu))2Licl)(2)
The isoelectronic, pyramidal tellurite anions Te(N(t)Bu)(2)(E(t)Bu)(-) (E = O, NH) have been structurally characterized in the centrosymmetric dimers [K(THF)-Te(N(t)Bu)(2)(O(t)Bu)](2) 3 . 2THF, and {[LiTe(N(t)Bu)(2)(NHt-Bu)]2LiCl}(2), 4, respectively. Complex 3 is prepared by the reaction of (t)BuNTe(mu-N(t)Bu)(2)TeN(t)Bu with KOt-Bu in toluene, while 4 is formed by the treatment of [Li2Te(N(t)Bu)(3)](2) with HCl gas.
