Synthesis and Structure of (Co(Tepa)O2Coh)(ClO4)(2)Center-Dot-3H(2)O, a Chelated Bicarbonate Species Prepared in Aqueous-Solution
The complex [Co(tepa)O2COH](ClO4)(2) . 3H(2)O, which contains a chelating bicarbonate ligand, has been synthesized in and isolated from aqueous solution by protonation of the parent carbonate complex [Co(tepa)-O2CO]ClO4. Characterization of the bicarbonate complex by elemental analysis, IR/ATR spectroscopy, and X-ray crystallography is described.
