Kinetic Modeling of Enantioselective by Hydrogenation
Reaction mechanisms which exist in the literature for enantioselective hydrogenation are analyzed from the kinetic viewpoint. It is demonstrated that models which assume modifier-substrate interactions in the liquid-phase disagree with the optical yield dependence on conversion. A simple kinetic framework has been developed which considers modifier-product interactions. The model was applied to interpret the published data.
