A Computational Approach for the Modeling/Decomposition Strategy in the Minlp Optimization of Process Flowsheets with Implicit Models
This paper describes a computational approach for performing topology optimization in process flowsheets that are described by implicit models using the modeling/decomposition strategy. The key point in the proposed approach is a procedure for the generation of the MILP master problem that would correspond to the approximation one would have obtained with an equation-oriented system (e.g., PROSYN-MINLP). Two numerical examples are presented.
