THERMODYNAMIC STUDIES ON BINARY-LIQUID MIXTURES FROM ULTRASONIC DATA
The ultrasonic velocity, density and viscosity in the binary liquid mixtures of methanol with ethylene glycol, acetonitrile and nitrobenzene have been measured at 303K. From the measured values, the thermodynamic parameters such as adiabatic compressibility, free length, free volume and their excess values are computed. The observed results are discussed in terms of strength of interaction between the components of the mixture.
