On sampling without loss of observability controllability
This paper presents a (nonequidistant, periodic) sampling pattern, which has the property that the sample and zero-order hold operations, applied to any observable and controllable continuous-time system of order not exceeding N, results in a discrete-time system which is also observable and controllable.
