The partial molar volumes at T = (288.15 to 313.15) K, and the partial molar heat capacities and expansions at T=298.15 K of cytidine, uridine, and adenosine in aqueous solution
Solution densities have been determined for aqueous solutions of the nucleosides cytidine, uridine, and adenosine at T=(288.15, 298.15, 303.15, and 313.15) K. These results were used to calculate the partial molar volumes at infinite dilution, V-2 degrees, for the nucleosides. The partial molar expansions for the solutes at infinite dilution and at T=298.15 K, E-2 degrees{E-2 degrees = (partial derivative V-2 degrees/partial derivative T)(p)}, were derived from the V-2 degrees results. The partial molar heat capacities at infinite dilution for the nucleosides, C-p,C-2,degrees have also been determined at T= 298.15 K. These V-2 degrees, E-2 degrees, and C-p,C-2 degrees results are critically compared with all of the results available from the literature. (C) 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
