Effective solution procedure for systems of non-linear algebraic equations
The difficulty of solving sets of non-linear algebraic equations has been greatly overestimated by numerous researchers who have presented various methods to deal with the perceived difficulties. The sample problems that have been used to test the recently developed schemes are easily solved by first grouping the equations into two sets, a set of simple equations and a set of difficult equations, and then proceeding in a systematic manner. Besides getting rapid convergence, an advantage of grouping the equations is that initial values are required only for the difficult equations. Two examples are presented to illustrate the method.
