Wellbore Modeling for Predicting the Flowing Behavior of Gas Condensate during Production
Many models used to determine pressure and temperature profiles for two-phase flow systems assume that the fluid composition does not change along the wellbore. The aim of this study is to use and combine two-phase flow temperature and pressure profile models and include the effect of composition change for two-phase flow of gas condensate fluid through a wellbore under steady-state conditions. Temperature and pressure profiles obtained from varied composition and constant composition cases are compared for different total mass flow rates. It is found that for the fluid system under consideration, pressure drop for the varied composition case is higher compared to that of constant composition case. However, temperature profiles obtained for both cases were similar to each other within the given pressure and temperature ranges. The increase in total mass flow rate increased the pressure drop. Lower wellhead temperatures were obtained at low total mass flow rates.
