Kinetics of the catalytic dehydrogenation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone in the vapour phase on Sr0.2La1.8CuO3.955
Synthesis, characterisation and catalytic activity of Sr0.2La1.8Cu3.955 have been can-led out Kinetics of vapour phase cyclohexanol dehydrogenation on Sr0.2La1.8Cu3.955 was studied using fixed bed Row reactor by varying experimental conditions such as contact time and temperature of the catalyst bed. The catalyst was found to show very good selectivity towards the formation of cyclohexanone in the temperature range of 573 - 613 K. Beyond 613 K, cyclohexene was the predominant product. Hence kinetic parameters like rate constant (k), Arrhenius factor (A) activation energy (E-a) and heat of activation (Delta H) were estimated in this temperature range.
