Plume recirculation in mechanical-draft air-cooled heat exchangers
The influence of recirculating warm plume air on the performance of mechanical-draft air-cooled heat exchangers under windless conditions is investigated. An empirical correlation, numerically derived is presented with which the performance effectiveness due to recirculation in an air-cooled heat exchanger can be predicted. This correlation is compared with experimental results and an analytical model.
