INSTRUMENT FOR THERMAL-RADIATION FLUX MEASUREMENT IN HIGH-TEMPERATURE GAS-FLOW (CUERNAVACA INSTRUMENT)
A new instrument for hemispherical radiation heat flux measurement is proposed. It is based on the theory of blow of the boundary layer, taking into account that at the critical mass flow rate through the porous surface the thermal boundary layer is blown off and only radiation flux from high temperature gases reaches the porous surface. With the measurement of blow of gas flow and the temperature of the porous material, the respective heat flux is obtained.
