New Synthesis of 1,2-Thiazetidines of anti- and syn-9,9'-Bibenzonorbornenylidenes
1,2-Thiazetidines 2 and 3 were synthesized by the reactions of anti-and syn-9,9'-bibenzonorbornenylidenes with TsNSO. followed by deimination with SmI2. Heating 2 and 3 neat produced a mixture containing aziridines, thiiranes, and alkenes.
