An onium salt-catalyzed direct polycondensation of lactic acid
Poly(L-lactic acid) of M-w approximate to 160000 (PDI = 1.6) was produced by direct polycondensation of water-containing lactic acid using triphenylphosphonium triflate as a catalyst.
