A Study on Characteristics and Catalytic Properties of Co/ZrO2-B Catalysts Towards Methanation
The B modification (0.5-3 wt%) on zirconia was found to increase the catalytic activities of Co catalyst during methanation. The B modification resulted in (i) preventing the agglomeration of Co oxide species, and (ii) increasing the dispersion of Co oxide species. Only a slight decrease in C-2-C-4 selectivity was observed.
