Tailoring Bulk Transport in Hydrogels through Control of Polydispersity in the Nanoscale Pore Size Distribution
The average pore size and pore-size distributions of polymer hydrogels are quantified by a new approach, allowing us to show how composition and polymerization conditions shape the nanoporous morphology, and how the nanoscale distribution of pore sizes (polydispersity) plays a key role in governing the controlled release of macromolecules from hydrogel carriers.
