Excess molar enthalpies of the ternary system (propyl propanoate plus 1-hexanol plus n-hexane) at 298.15 K
Excess molar enthalpies at the temperature 298.15 K of {x(1)C(2)H(5)CO(2)(CH2)(2)CH3 + x(2)CH(2)OH(CH2)(4)CH3 + x(3)CH(3)(CH2)(4)CH3} and of the binary mixtures {x(1)C(2)H(5)CO(2)(CH2)(2)CH3 + x(2)CH(2)OH(CH2)(4)CH3} and {x(1)CH(2)OH(CH2)(4)CH3 + x(2)CH(3)(CH2)(4)CH3} were determined using a Calvet microcalorimeter. Ternary experimental values were compared with the predictions of UNIFAC (versions of Tassios and Larsen) and Nitta-Chao group prediction models, and were also used to test several empirical expressions for estimating ternary properties from binary results. Variable degree polynomials have been fitted to the results.
