상호에스테르 교환반응 촉매가 Poly(ethylene naphthalate)/Poly(ε-caprolactone) 블렌드의 반응 용융기공에 미치는 영향
The Effect of Transesterification Catalyst on the Reactive Melt Blending of Poly(ethylene naphthalate)/Poly(ε-caprolactone)

Poly(ethylene naphthalate) (PEN)/poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) 용융 블렌딩시 발생하는 상호에스테르 교환반응을 조절하기 위하여 Zn-acetate와 Sb2O3를 에스테르 교환반응 촉매로 사용하여 PEN/PCL 블렌드를 제조하고 이들 촉매가 PEN/PCL 블렌드의 상호에스테르 교환반응 및 열적 특성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. Zn-acetate는 저온 반응가공시 효과적인 상호에스테르 교환반응 촉매로 확인되었으며, Sb2O3는 고온에서 우수한 촉매 역할을 함을 알 수 있었다. 블렌드의 열적 특성은 상호에스테르 교환반응이 증가할수록 선형적으로 감소함을 확인할 수 있었으며 촉매 존재 유무, 반응 은도 등에 의하여 이러한 열적 성질의 감소 경향이 달라짐을 알 수 있었다.
Zn-acetate and Sb2O3 were used as the catalyst to control the transesterification in reactive melt blending of PEN/PCL. The effect of catalysts on the transesterification and the thermal properties of PEN/PCL blends were investigated. It was found that Zn-acetate is effective on transesterification at low processing temperature, but on the other hand it is relatively less effective than Sb2O3 at high processing temperature. The thermal properties of PEN/PCL blends decrease linearly with increasing transesterification level. This linear relationship is dependent upon the existence of catalyst, the reaction temperature, and reaction time.
