Ion beam-induced micropatterning of cells on biodegradable polycaprolactone films
Attachment of human fibroblasts onto the surface of polycaprolactone (PCL) films patterned by ion implantation is discussed. The surface property of the implanted PCL films was characterized by water contact angle and FT-IR analyses. The results revealed that ion implantation increased the hydrophilicity and cell adhesion of the PCL films , resulting in improving the cytocompatibility of the implanted regions in the PCL films.
