Reconstruction of a solid-state high-resolution heteronuclear J-resolved 2D spectrum from 1D experiments
A novel procedure for reconstruction of 2D SLF spectra of static oriented samples from corresponding 1D spectra has been demonstrated recently (K. Bertelsen et al. J. Magn. Reson. 184, 330, 2007). We report here the extension of this methodology to solid-state high-resolution heteronuclear J-resolved 2D spectroscopy. The proton-carbon 2D J-resolved spectrum has been reconstructed from just two 1D MAS spectra, namely a broad-band proton-decoupled carbon spectrum and a proton-coupled carbon spectrum obtained with homonuclear dipolar decoupling. The reconstructed spectra reveal a quality resembling typical J-resolved spectra. The method promises to be of use as a simple editing technique for samples that have a crowded and overlapped 1D J-coupled spectrum with a significant reduction in experimental time.
