Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy on Oxide-Films Formed on Zircaloy-4 in High-Temperature Water
Complex capacitance spectra obtained on oxide films formed by high temperature water oxidation of Zircaloy 4 exhibited dielectric losses which have been identified with those derived from the cluster model. The complex capacitance showed a Low Frequency Dispersion (LFD). A description of oxide film defects and defect transport are presented. The coupling between dynamic behaviour of defects and solution pH is shown.
