Reaction-controlled recovery of the copper(II) methanesulfonate catalyst for esterification
Copper methanesulfonate is used as homogeneous-heterogeneous catalyst in the esterification of carboxylic acids with alcohols. Compared with conventional Lewis acids catalysts, it is easy to recover, and its activity and reusability are excellent.
