Transformation of propyne to propadiene over various solid catalysts of different acid-base character
Results showed that the heterogeneous catalytic transformation of propyne to propadiene could be regarded as an apparently first order reaction running to equilibrium over solid base catalysts. However, fast oligomerization of reactants proved to be the main reaction pathway over acidic contacts. Different surface intermediates were identified on basic and acidic solid catalysts.
