Chitosan의 황유도체계 킬레이트 고분자의 합성 및 금속이온 흡착특성에 관한 연구
Chelating Polymers of Chitosan-Based Sulfur Derivatives ; The Synthesis and Metal Ion Adsorption Characteristics

가교 chitosan의 염산염을 ammonium thiocyanate와 반응시켜 glucose 고리의 C-2 위치에 thioamide 배위기가 도입된 N-thioamidochitosan을 합성하였고 C-6 위치에 염소가 치환된 가교 chlorodeoxychitosan을 thiourea와 반응시킨 후 가수분해하여 thiol 배위기가 도입된 mercaptodeoxychitosan을 합성하였다. 그리고 가교 chlorodeoxychitosan을 dimethyl formamide 용매 중에서 ammonium thiocyanate와 반응시킨 후 hydrazine을 부가하여 thiosemi carbazide 배위기가 도입된 가교 chitosan의 thiosemicarbazide 유도체를 합성하였다. 이들 황계 배위기가 도입된 chitosan 계 킬레이트 고분자들의 Cu(Ⅱ), Cd(Ⅱ), Pb(Ⅱ), Hg(Ⅱ), Cr(Ⅵ) 및 U(Ⅵ) 등 금속 이온들의 100ppm 용액에 대한 흡착특성을 pH 변화에 따라 batch법으로 검토하였다. Thiosemicarbazide유도체의 Cd(Ⅱ), Pb(Ⅱ), Cu(Ⅱ), U(Ⅵ) 등의 금속 이온 흡착능은 황 배위자의 함량과 금속이온 용액의 pH 증가와 더불어 증가하였으나 Cr(Ⅵ)만은 pH3이상에서 반대의 경향을 나타내었다. Thiol 유도체와 N-thioamide 유도체의 경우에서도 이들 금속이온들의 흡착특성은 같은 경향이었다. Hg(Ⅱ) 이온에 대해 우수한 친화성을 나타내는 황계 배위자가 도입된 이들 킬레이트 고분자의 Hg(Ⅱ) 이온의 흡착능은 pH 변화에 관계없이 거의 100% 정도이다.
The N-thiamido chitosan introduced the thioamide ligands at C-2 postition of glucose rings was synthesized by the reaction of crosslinked chitosan hydrochloride with ammonium thiocyanate. The mercapto deoxy chitosan introduced the thiol ligands was prepared by the reaction of crosslinked chloro deoxy, chitosat which was substitued chlorine at C-6, with thiourea, followed by the hydrolysis. The thiosemicarbazide derivatives of crosslinked chitosan was also sythesized by the reaction of crosslinked chlorodeoxy chitosan with ammonium thiocyanate in dimethylformamide, followed by the addition reaction of hydrazine. The structures of these chelate polymers introduced from sulfur derivatives ligands were conformed by the elemental analysis and infrared spectrum. The adsorption characteristics of chitosan-based chelate polymer towards 100 ppm solutions of various metal items such as Cu(Ⅱ), Cd(Ⅱ), Pb(Ⅱ), Hg(Ⅱ), Cr(Ⅵ) and U(Ⅵ) were examined at different pH value by batch method. The adsorptivities of metal ions such as Cd(Ⅱ), Pb(Ⅱ), Cu(Ⅱ) and U(Ⅵ) to the thiosemicarbazide derivatives chelate polymer increased with the contents of sulfur ligand introduced and the increase of pH value of metal ion solution, however, Cr(Ⅵ) ion showed reverse tendency above pH 3. In the case of thiol and N-thioamide derivative of chitosan the adsorptivities of these metal ions were similar to that of thiosemicarbazide derivatives. The adsorptivities of Hg(Ⅱ) to these chelate polymers, introduced sulfur derivatives ligands were showed excellent affinity to the Hg(Ⅱ) ions, were above 100% regardless of pH variations.
