Adducts of oligothienylenevinylenes with fullerene C-60 (see Figure) have been synthesized. Their preparation along with some of their electrochemical and optical properties are reported. Owing to the small HOMO-LUMO gap of oligothienylenevinylenes, these compounds are potentially interesting for light harvesting in organic photovoltaic devices.
