Synthesis and properties of novel derivatives of 1,3,5-tris(diarylamino)benzenes for electroluminescent devices
Communication: Amorphous molecular materials that form stable glasses with high transition temperatures have many applications, including hole-transport materials in light-emitting devices. The synthesis of some novel derivatives of 1,3,5-tris(diarylamino)benzenes, TDABs, with different aryl substituents is reported. The absorption, fluorescence, electrochemical behavior, and thermal properties of these compounds are described and their suitability as hole-transport and emitting materials in light-emitting devices demonstrated.
