A carbon nanotube organic semiconducting polymer heterojunction
An all-organic device based on carbon nanotubes and semiconducting polymers is of great interest for opto-electronic applications. A rectifying heterojunction formed by these novel materials is reported for the first time. The onset for nonlinear current injection is demonstrated to occur at an applied electric field more than an order of magnitude lower than for a semiconducting polymer/conducting oxide or metal heterojunction. The light sensitivity of the heterojunction was also investigated.
