Communication: AFM images reveal details of self-organized amphiphile structures of the title compound (see Fig.). Information on the morphology and the molecular order is obtained indicating that the structures are stabilized by relatively strong intermolecular interactions. The results are compared with those from studies of the same materials in gel and crystal states.
