LYOTROPIC POLYMORPHISM IN OXOVANADIUM COMPLEXES
Communications: Ionic transition metal compounds which exhibit mesomorphism in aqueous systems are reported. These oxovanndium-based surfactants display binary (surfactant/H2O) and ternary (surfactant/H2O-decanol) mesomorphism and represent a step towards the development of lyotropic materials with large magnetic anisotropies.
