A simple mathematical model for fast simulation of various types of furnaces is briefly described. This model consists of submodels for radiation chamber and convective sections and their connection by a submodel of shield tubes. Some innovative procedures concerning combined heat transfer and the model’s possible applications are emphasized. This model proved itself to be a useful tool in a new methodology for furnaces integration into processes.
